<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 768 <br /> N ORDINANCE MilENDING CHAPTER 3.12 OF THE <br /> OUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE BY PROVIDING FOR <br /> DDITIONAL TAX RELIEF FOR ELDERLY AND LOW <br /> INCOME PERSONS. <br /> WHERE S, the City Council of the City of Louisville has <br />recently determ'ned that elder'ly and low income persons within the <br />City of Louisville should be provided with financial assistance in <br />order to ease ha dships placed upon them by increases in water rates <br />and general cos of living; and, <br /> S, the City Council of the City of Louisville has <br />determined that said financial assistance shall be in the form of a <br />refund to certa'n qualified persons; <br /> NOW, HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVI LE, COLORADO: <br /> n l. Section 3.12.040 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />is hereby ed. <br /> n 2. The following sections are hereby added to Title <br />3, Chapter 3.12 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 3.12.040 Application <br /> Every person desiring to qualify for an allowance under this <br />ordinance must ubmit to the City an application therefore at any time <br />after December I, for the year in which said property tax refund is <br />claimed or afte July I, for each year in which the water use rebate <br />is claimed. lications shall be made on forms to be provided by the <br />City. No appli ant shall willfully make any mis-statement of a material <br />fact or willful y omit any material fact on the applications. No allow- <br />ance id by the City under this ordinance prior to August I <br />of the year in hich the application is made. Applications under this <br />ordinance must e submitted within one year subsequent to the year for <br />which the fund or allowance is sought. <br /> 3.12.060(D) <br /> itianto the above described tax benefits, an Applicant <br />who is 65 years of age or older, may receive additional tax benefits <br />as set forth in the following table: <br />
