<br /> ,- ( "- <br /> , <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 776 <br /> N ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER <br /> .68 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> ONCERNING SALARY PROGRESSION AND MERIT <br /> AYMENTS. <br /> WHERE S, the personnel policies of the City of Louisville <br /> with respect to salaries must be constantly updated to reflect <br /> current changes; and, <br /> WHERE S, the City Council has determined that the changes <br /> set forth below be made with respect to salaries progression and <br /> merit increases. <br /> NOW, HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVI LE, COLORADO: <br /> Secti Section 2.68.070 and 2.68.080, Chapter 2.68, <br /> - <br /> Title 2 of the ouisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. The following sections are hereby added to <br /> - <br /> Chapter 2.68, Title 2 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 2.68.070 Salary Progression and Cost of Living <br /> Employees shall be employed in accordance with their <br /> respective position classification in effect at the time of their <br /> employment and shall commence under step A for a twelve month <br /> probationary period; thereafter, upon approval of the City <br /> Administrator, s ch employees may be raised in intervals on their <br /> anniversary date beginning January 1 , 1983, except for any employee <br /> hired before ary 1 , 1982. The anniversary date for such employee <br /> shall always be treated as January 1st of each year. <br /> Every employee a permanent status shall receive in addition to his <br /> base salary an a nual cost of living increase in January of each <br /> year. All cost f living increases shall be based on annual <br /> negotiations wit the Mayor and City Council.* The City <br /> Administrator sh II represent the City employees in the negotiations. <br /> *Base p y shall increase annually by the percentage <br /> amount approved by the City Council for cost of <br /> living increases awarded the previous year. <br /> 2.68.080 Salary Merit Payment <br /> If an mployee's performance has been on a continuous and <br /> sustained level bove the requirements of the job, as determined by <br /> the employee per ormance evaluation, the employee may receive an <br />
