COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA

Sisk stated that there will be a public meeting at Monarch K-8 school on Tuesday,
September 28, 1999 to discuss the proposed boundaries for the Monarch schools.

Bill Simmons, City Administrator, explained that Don Orr, from the Boulder Valley
School District, delivered the agenda for the meeting today. He distributed copies of the
agenda to Council, including maps of the proposed boundaries to be discussed.

Sisk stated that it appears the Boulder Valley School District representatives are listening
to input from the public and suggested that the City continue to monitor the progress of
the discussions.

Mayer reported that he has been contacted by individuals concerned with the cost and
availability of City facilities for use by school teams. He explained that, in researching
the issue, he discovered that there is no overall agreement for use of City facilities by
school teams or the use of school facilities by City recreational teams. He suggested that
the Mayor or City Administrator contact the School District and work to resolve some of
the problems that reoccur every six to twelve months.

Simmons replied that he has been discussing this issue with School Superintendent Tom
Segal. He explained that the City's Parks & Recreation Director is meeting with staff
from the School District to reach an agreement on facility usage for both parties. He
agreed to keep Councilmembers up-to-date on the discussions.

KIDS DAY AMERICA/INTERNATIONAL - SEPTEMBER 25, 1999

Davidson proclaimed September 25, 1999 as Kids Day America/International Day in the
City of Louisville, dedicated to children' s health, safety and environmental awareness.

WALK OUR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL DAY - OCTOBER 6, 1999

Davidson proclaimed October 6, 1999 as Walk Our Children to School Day in the City of
Louisville and encouraged everyone to consider the importance and safety of walking in
our community.

ORDINANCE NO. 1310, SERIES 1999 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE
17 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED 'ZONING'; BY
ZONING AS AGRICULTURAL CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND THE COUNTY OF BOULDER
AND KNOWN AS THE ADMOR EAST PARCEL AND ADMOR WEST PARCEL
- public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 9/11/99)

Davidson called for City Attorney introduction.
