I live at 540 Catalpa Court in Louisville. My phone numbers are h) 303 - 926 -
7937, c) 720-530-3851, w) 303-863-7777. I am applying for participation in the City's Revitalization Board. I am
applying for this board because I believe that in the coming years there is much at stake for the city as it seeks to
balance the need for economic development and enhanced sales tax revenue with the need to preserve our community's
heritage and history as well as preserve and create affordable housing. Additionally, we need to create a balance of
different types of development as we grow. My personal and professional background makes me a good candidate for
this board.
I have previously served on various boards and commissions for the City of Boulder when I lived there. These include
the Downtown Management Commission and it's Economic Revitalization Taskforce, the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Board, and the Parks and Recreation Foundation, and the Boulder Creek Festival Advisory Board. For the
last two summers I have volunteered here in Louisville with the Friday evening Street Faires.
I have worked in public policy my entire life. I have a Master's in Public Affairs from the LBJ School at the University
of Texas. I work professionally as a lobbyist for the political consulting firm of Mendez, Steadman & Associates. At
that firm my specialties are housing, technology, criminal justice, and recycling. I have lived in Louisville since 2000
and would like to bring my strength in public policy and willingness to work hard, to bear on behalf of my community.
Sincerely,
Annmarie Jensen
ClLe~k 9YJ the new AOL.
