..
[]J!i~(f5[%@1J
Mayor Chuck Sisk
749 Main Street
Louisville, CO 80027
The Honorable Mayor Chuck Sisk-
I am pleased to submit this letter of interest for a position on the City of Louisville
Revitalization Commission. As a resident of Louisville with a young family, I have a
strong commitment to maintaining Louisville as a place for commerce, character, and
community. As a long time resident of Boulder County I was drawn to Louisville based
on the colorful past of Old Town and the diversity of the community.
As a professional I have the opportunity to travel across the county. In my travels I have
found few places that can match the charm Louisville offers. I believe urban renewal
challenges this charm in a positive way and builds a stronger community. As a
community we will be faced with issues of building scale, motor vehicle circulation,
parking and permitted use as we move forward to implement the Urban Renewal Plan.
Our plan establishes a vision that will honor the character our community deserves, and I
would be honored to help guide the next chapter of Louisville's history.
I am aware of the challenges that will arise over the years as the community struggles
with how to engage redevelopment, a major transportation center, and public
infrastructure financing. My approach to working on such issues with development
professionals, land owners, resid, ents, staff and elected officials will be objective and
always in the interest of the community's future. I look forward to speaking with you
more about my background and how I could contribute to this important position.
Mr. Carlos Hernandez
524 Hoptree Court
303-443-5018
