<br /> . .il, <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 660 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LOUISVILLE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER <br /> ENT I TLED " COVERED MALL BU I LD I NGS II TO <br /> TITLE 15. <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Inspector has requested that the <br /> Municipal Code be amended to include specific standards for the <br /> design and construction of covered mall buildings; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such an <br /> amendment to the Municipal Code is necessary. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section l. That the following Chapter 15.44 is hereby <br /> added to Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> CHAPTER 15.44 COVERED MALL BUILDINGS <br /> 15.44.010 Purpose and Scope <br /> A. The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum <br /> standards of safety for the construction and use of covered mall <br /> buildings having not more than three levels. <br /> B. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to build- <br /> ings or structures defined herein as covered mall buildings. The <br /> following uses need not comply with the provisions of this chapter: <br /> 1. Terminals for transportation facilities. <br /> 2. Foyers and lobbies of hotel, apartment and <br /> office buildings. <br /> q Buildings need not comply with the provisions <br /> oJ . <br /> of this chapter when they comply totally with <br /> all other applicable provisions of this code. <br /> C. Except as specifically required by this chapter, <br /> covered mall buildings shall meet all applicable provisions of this <br /> code. <br /> l5.44.020 Definitions <br /> For the purpose of this chapter, certain terms are defined <br /> as follows: <br /> A. Covered Mall Building is a single buildin~ enclosing a <br /> number of tenants and occupancies such as retail stores, d:rL'J.king and <br /> dining establishments, entertainment and amusement facilities, offices <br /> and other similar uses wherein two or more tenants have a main entrance <br /> into one or more malls. <br /> B. Anchor Store is an exterior perimeter department store <br /> or major merchandising center having direct access to a mall but <br /> having all required exits independent of a mall. <br />
