Approval of Change of Date of First Regular City Council Meeting from <br />November 2, 1999 to November 3, 1999 <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Rachel Weston, 768 Apple Court, Louisville, Colorado asked to speak about the humane <br />society funding. She explained that she feels the City of Louisville owes support to the <br />Boulder Valley Humane Society. She stated that she has used their services and has <br />found them to be very helpful. <br /> <br />Phyllis Postelwaite, 768 Apple Court, Louisville, Colorado stated that the City has a <br />growing tax base and enough money to support the Boulder Valley Humane Society. She <br />explained that she recently lost her cat and the Boulder Valley Humane Society was very <br />supportive during that time. She stated that it would be a small piece to the City's overall <br />budget to support the Boulder Valley Humane Society's request for funding. <br /> <br />Jan McHugh, 1116 W Enclave Circle, Louisville, Colorado, Executive Director of the <br />Boulder Valley Humane Society, thanked Council for inviting her to a future work <br />session to discuss funding for the humane society's new facility. She explained that there <br />are several residents in attendance that support the humane society but do not wish to <br />speak and she invited them to stand up to show their support. <br /> <br />Annelise Cummings, 795 W Pinyon Way, Louisville, Colorado, stated that she phoned <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons recently in response to an article she read in the Daily <br />Camera about the animal shelter. She explained that she is a strong supporter of the <br />humane society and was concerned that the City of Louisville would not be helping to <br />fund the animal shelter. She was pleased to learn that Jan McHugh has been invited to a <br />Council work session to discuss funding for the animal shelter and urged Council to <br />support the Boulder Valley Humane Society. <br /> <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br />NONE <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - FAMILY CAREGIVER'S MONTH, NOVEMBER 1999 <br /> <br />Davidson proclaimed November 1999 as Family Caregiver's Month in the City of <br />Louisville and urged all residents of the community to consider how they may become <br />respite caregivers to share in the provision of this vital service. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
