Thl9 following sections are hereby added to <br /> Chapter 2.l2 of Title 2 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 2.12.050 Standing Committees <br /> At the first regular meeting of each new City Council, <br /> the Mayor shall appoint the standing committees which he deems <br /> necessary. <br /> 2.12.070 Salary <br /> Each councilman of the City shall receive as full compen- <br /> sation for his services -the sum of twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) <br /> per year, payable in monthly payments. <br /> Section 4. ThE~ following sections are hereby added to <br /> Chapter 2.16 of Title 2 of the Louisville Munncipal Code: <br /> 2.16.020 Appointment <br /> The City Administrator shall be appointed by City Council <br /> and shall serve at the pleasure of City Council. He <br /> selected solely on the basis of his executive and adm'nistrative <br /> qualifications, with special preference given to his raining and <br /> his experience. He shall be compensated for his serv as the <br /> Council from time to timE~ determines. At the time of his appoint- <br /> ment, he need not be a rE~sident of the City or State, but he shall <br /> move to the City within ninety days of his appointmen and shall <br /> continue to reside in the City during his term of off'ce. <br /> Section 5.
