Louisville Public Library <br />Year in Review v 2010 <br />Milestones & Accomplishments <br />O For the first time, more than 500,000 items checked out <br />O Superior residents voted to increase <br />their property taxes to fund continued <br />contractual library services through <br />Louisville <br />O We added a collection of Have It Today <br />(HIT) recent - release DVDs, which are <br />available for immediate checkout; also <br />greatly increased the number of bestseller HIT books <br />O The Madison Contribution became the largest bequest ever <br />made to help fund library programs and events <br />O The Library and Historical Museum combined to form the <br />Department of Library and Museum Services <br />O The Library website was redesigned, <br />including improved catalog searching <br />and addition of Museum information <br />O We joined the statewide library /Xcel <br />Energy program to offer check out of <br />Kill -a -Watt meters to help families <br />measure home energy use <br />O We began offering popular eBook titles for download to <br />computers and eReaders <br />3 <br />Superior Elementary School students <br />display their artwork in the Library. <br />It's fun reading to Bill the Boxer during <br />'Read to Rover' sessions at the Library <br />
