Looking Ahead
What if we all read the same book?
This year, a project called "On the Same Page" unites the Louisville Public Library, the
Lafayette Public Library, and the Town of Superior in a program to build community
through reading. "One book" programs strive to strengthen community bonds
through shared experiences and topics of interest to all ages. The title for this project
will be revealed this summer, with programs and events beginning in September and
continuing until mid - October.
Working efficiently
In 2007, the first full year of operation in our beautiful new building, library users
checked out about 394,000 items. A short three years later, that number had risen to
nearly 518,000. With level staffing over the period, it's become harder to get things
back on the shelf quickly and to deliver the kind of customer service we strive for.
Consequently, the 2011 budget includes funds for an automated sorting system,
intended for the Library from the start, that will free up staff to deliver the personal
and professional service you count on.
It's going to be a great year! We look forward to serving you.
"Super Librarians" ready to help!
951 Spruce Street
Louisville, CO 80027
303 - 335 -4849
www.louisville- library.org
LOUISVILLE PUBLIC
LIBRARY
GO ANYWHEREBRGM HERE
