Joe stated that the actual amount of money netted from the equipment <br />sale was $87,000 instead of the $97,000 previously estimated. Joe then <br />discussed how he would allocate spending the money from the equipment <br />sale. <br />a. $30,000 Master Plan for Golf Course <br />b. $40,000 Improvements to the Club house <br />i. $6700.00 has been spent for the club house roof repairs <br />c. $17,000 Golf Course Improvements <br />2. Joe requested $2 million in improvements over the next 5 years. This <br />request will be acted upon in the fall. There will be another Study Session <br />in June. <br />3. Bobby Heath stated that he would be glad to bid independently on projects <br />at Coal Creek. <br />Item VII – City plan for Council approval of strategic plan and capital plan – <br />Discussion of this item was wrapped into Agenda item VI. <br />Item VIII – WGP update on January thru April 2011 measurements and <br />plans for next month- <br />1. Bobby recommended Todd Eckenrode “Origins Golf Design” golf <br />course architect as a very good fit for Coal Creek. <br />2. Bobby informed the board that WGP has 44 truckloads of sand <br />coming to improve the bunkers for this year. <br />3. Bobby will provide marketing specials to us on a quarterly basis. <br />Item IX Board Members update on their project plans for individual <br />initiatives – <br />1. Perry handed out his updated draft on the Communication Strategy <br />with much of the discussion on Facebook. It was determined that <br />Perry, Joe and Meredith need to have a meeting to go over the City <br />rules of Facebook. <br />a. Bobby stressed his concern with the GCAB using Facebook <br />as a form of communication. The board took note of his <br />concerns. <br />2. Lisa informed the board that the GCAB will have a booth at the <br />th <br />June 17 Street Faire in downtown Louisville. She also stated that <br />she is working on two volunteer projects as well. Those being <br />Divets and Dining and painting the Pump House to begin with. <br />a. Bobby again stressed his concern with the Street Faire but <br />was completely on board with it if there is a Coal Creek <br />representative at our booth that night. <br />3. Tom updated where he is at with the surveys. He is working with <br />Eric at Coal Creek to make the survey more personal to the needs <br />of our board. <br />a. Rob suggested possibly having each board member send <br />out ~ 12 surveys to have a more personal approach. <br />
