<br />Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />January 29, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />VIII. Executive Director's Report <br />A. Commission members voted to post all meeting agendas the City of Louisville <br />web site, at the Police/Municipal Court Building, the Library, the Recreation <br />Center, and at City Hall. <br />B. There is no update on the City's budget at this time. Final numbers for 2006 are <br />not yet in. Also, until we get further into the year and get sales tax numbers, we <br />will not know if there will be any changes to the 2007 budget. <br />C. Colorado History Month in May and $250 grants are available for events held <br />during that month. Diane Marino will work on an application for the funding for <br />our 2007 Historical Society program. <br />D. Members discussed changing the meeting day to better accommodate <br />members schedules. Muth will contact those members not in attendance to <br />determine what day might work. The meeting location may change depending <br />on what night is chosen for the new meeting date. <br /> <br />IX. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Deeds of Gifts were accepted: <br />1. Scanned historic photos from Fred McNulty <br />2. Louisville Tidbits cookbook from Jean Morgan <br />3. Purses and electric iron from Dave Ferguson <br />4. Vintage Christmas ornament hanger box from Becky Harney <br />5. Household booklets from Carla Paxton <br />6. Miner's pick and anvil associated with J.J. Steinbaugh blacksmith shop from <br />Tom Steinbaugh <br />7. 1964 newspaper on Dr. Bresnahan murder from Barb Hesson <br />8. Packet of photos and autobiographical information from Richard La Salle <br />B. Monthly Activity Report <br />1. Historic Boulder will present the Louisville Historical Museum an award for <br />excellence at a February 25th event at the Hotel Boulderado from 5:30-9:00 <br />PM. Bridget Bacon and Donna Hauswald will attend and Muth will find out if <br />the Mayor can also attend. The Commission will pay for Donna Hauswald's <br />ticket if needed. <br />2. Historic Boulder is placing the Louisville grain elevator on the list of <br />endangered places <br />3. The Louisville Historical Museum was highlighted in the Boulder Daily <br />Camera <br />4. Louisville sites were featured in the Boulder Daily Camera's "Been There" <br />series <br />5. A book based on the Columbine and Ludlow Massacres has been written <br />by George Ewing Ogle of Lafayette and acquired by the Museum <br />6. Pat Warner is making progress on her book on Colorado historic house <br />museums that will include a chapter on the Tomeo House, and Vincenza <br />Scarpaci's book on Italian Americans that will include historic photos from <br />Louisville is scheduled to be published in late 2007 <br />7. A Superior Historical Commission member visited the Museum to research <br />the Industrial Mine camp and to share information on their research on <br />mining houses through the Denver Public Library <br />
