Public Relationships

No updates. Kathy M will send Julie K dates and overviews for the summer
concerts.

Arts Center

The LCC presentation to the City Council went well on March 13. Need to get on
the agenda for an LCC presentation to the LRD (Louisville Revitalization District).
Don wants to add steering committee members from DBA (Downtown Business
Association), BVSC (Boulder Valley School District) and the Louisville Chamber
of Commerce. He will make a proposal for names next month. It was discussed
that for the Arts Center steering committee feasibility stage, they should operate
under open government rules. Later if they convert to a 5013C, this will not be
necessary.

Sponsors hips

Kathy P says the Sugar Daddy (Jim Pollicita's band, not the benefactor) concert
fund-raiser is an opportunity for a named sponsor or multiple sponsors. Wendy
asked Kathy P to put together a 1 pager for sponsorship opportunities, and David
said he might be able to help in a month. David got a $200 sponsor for the silent
movie event.

Summer Concert

Sandra suggested food booths for concerts, but Kathy M says families prefer to
picnic and that the booths don't do well. Maryan suggested a liquor license for
beer. It was decided we should have a table at the concerts and ask for
donations and e-mail addresses. It was discussed that the Summer Concert
banner should have the LCC logo and the SCFD logo.

Brai nstorm i ng

Don points out that two months after the Boulder arts groups finally game
together and put together a cultural plan, Boulder bought the dairy (to be The
Dairy Center for the Arts). So the sooner we get a master plan for the arts, things
will happen in Louisville. Don notes that Lori Jones and Allisson Moore have
formed a new arts group.
David is interested in more children's events and Maryan suggested he talk with
storyteller Nina Barazina.

David wants to do 3 concerts at the Steinbaugh Pavilion on Wednesday
mornings during the summer. Carol offered to help coordinate.

It was also discussed we could do movies at the Steinbaugh Pavilion, and could
charge to offset equipment expenses.

Maryan is considering a dance event for 4/6, 4/13 or 5/18.
