Golf Course Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br /> 6-20-2011 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />board deleted six questions and added two to make a survey of twenty <br />questions. Tom is also working with Survey Monkey on different methods <br />of distributing our survey. He will update us at the next meeting. <br />Facebook Demonstration – <br />2. Perry updated the board on our Facebook <br />status. Everything is set-up and running and, we, as a board need to get <br />the word out to let people know to “like us” on Facebook. <br />Community Involvement- <br />3. Lisa reported that the Street Faire booth on <br />th <br />June 17 was a positive experience and great exposure for the board. <br />Joe suggested that Lisa talk to Meredyth Muth about the possibility of <br />participating in another Street Faire. She will start organizing the <br />volunteer programs at Coal Creek. <br />Measurement Recommendations – <br />4. Cary was absent. <br />Best of Breed data collection – <br />5. Sandy reported that he is receiving <br />some data back from the golf courses he has contacted and will follow up <br />on the ones that have not responded. He also pointed out that the Peak <br />Players loyalty program is a great value to it’s members. <br />Item VII – City Staff update on City actions <br />Fairway Suites interest- <br />1.Joe Stevens stated that he had a meeting last <br />month with Fairway Suites executives and says that there is definitely <br />merit to continue dialogue to explore different ideas and options. <br />i) The City would like to have a meeting in September with the GCAB, <br />Fairway Suites Executive and members of City Council at the Coal <br />Creek Golf Course. <br />Coal Creek Clubhouse Architectural update- <br />2. Jeff Van Sambeek was to <br />review preliminary architectural clubhouse options but was unable to <br />attend the meeting. <br />Status of the RFP responses for golf course improvement plan- <br />3. Joe <br />has had a tremendous response back on the RFP request. The RFP’s <br />were distributed to each board member to review and score. Joe asked to <br />th <br />have our reviews in by June 24, 2011. <br />Status of “Event Center” study – <br />4. The board discussed the need for an <br />event center and if there is a true payback for having a banquet facility. <br />Ken asked the question “Is it worth doing?” More discussion is needed on <br />this subject. <br />CIP plan for golf course – <br />5. Joe stated that he hopes to advocate for a <br />CIP project for the Clubhouse.This is an ongoing project. <br />Item VIII – WGP update on January thru May 2011 measurements and plans <br />for next month- <br />Major initiatives at Coal Creek. e.g. bunker sanding, landscape <br />1. <br />schedule, club house interior repairs- <br /> Eric reported that the bunkers <br />are being updated with new sand and that the green side bunkers are <br />priority. The landscape project is still in the works, the roof is sealed and <br />fixed. Eric was also happy to report that rounds are falling into what they <br /> <br />
