Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 14, 2011 <br />Page 2 of 13 <br /> <br />Loo stated she feels there are some projects that are perhaps not CIPs. She <br />asked why the way-finding signs cost so much. <br />McMillan stated the individual signs are expensive and there are a considerable <br />number of signs needed. <br />Lipton asked if staff and the commission had been advised to keep the cost down <br />for the next year. <br />Russ stated the project does not have a maximum, but the requests have to <br />balance with other department requests. <br />Lipton asked how things were going for the 2011 projects. <br />Russ stated the City had received money from DRCOG, therefore the projects <br />are on track. <br />Pritchard asked why the patio project is in the 2013 group. <br />McMillan stated the patio project would then correspond with the Main Street <br />milling project for 2013. <br />Public Comments <br />: Not on the Agenda <br />Benjamin Babel, 10345 W. Jewell, Lakewood, CO distributed a letter and <br />discussed his proposal to set the Little League playing fields with elevated <br />outfields throughout America. <br />Regular Business – Continuance <br /> Resolution No. 09, Series 2011 <br /> – Minor Subdivision: Takoda <br /> <br />Subdivision – A resolution <br />recommending approval of minor <br />modifications to the approved Final Takoda Subdivision. Proposed <br />modifications include: clarifying city and utility easements; adjustments to <br />Kaylix Avenue and Wagon Way right-of-way at alley entrances; and, <br /> Case <br />adjusting Lot 20 Block 5 to accommodate a community mail box. <br />No. 11-029-FP <br /> <br /> Applicant: City of Louisville <br /> <br /> Owner and Representative: Ryland Homes, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br /> Case Manager: Troy Russ, AICP, Planning and Building Safety Director <br />The applicant is requesting a continuance to the May 12, 2011 <br />Planning Commission public hearing to allow additional time to <br />finalize the plat changes. <br />Sheets moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to approve the request from the <br />applicant to continue Resolution No. 9, Series 2011 to the May 12, 2011 meeting. <br />Motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Regular Business – Public Hearing Items: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 10, Series 2011 – Bolder Tutor, SRU <br /> – a special <br /> <br />review use to allow for the operation of a private school on a <br />property controlled by the Alvenus Park Planned Unit Development <br />at 1371 Hecla Drive. Case No. 11-002-UR. <br /> <br />
