Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 16, 2011 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />The HPC discussed the following topics: <br /> <br /> The many uses the building could be used for if it were retained. <br /> <br /> If it were locally landmarked it could qualify for state incentives. <br /> <br /> If there were a current PUD attached to this request bonus incentives could be <br />discussed. <br />Stewart stated he and Florian would work on a letter in response to the Brew letter. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Reconnaissance Survey <br />Stewart stated the HPC should consider applying for a state HSA for the Austin Niehoff <br />house. By applying for this HSA the structure could then qualify for future state funding. <br />Committee Reports - none <br />Update on Demolition Requests – Door replacement for Jacoe Store and Austin- <br />Niehoff House <br />McCartney gave an update on the subcommittee reviews of these properties. <br />Updates – Jefferson Place Survey <br />McCartney stated the survey is still progressing. It should be completed around mid- <br />December. <br />Items from Commission Staff – Cemetery Landmark Application <br />McCartney stated a publication might suffice as notification of the cemetery historical <br />district. <br />Items from Commission Members <br />Fasick gave a report of the Chautauqua Roundtable.
