He explained that he has spoken to Jay Keany & Chuck Sisk. He stated that
Memory Square Pool is a valuable part of downtown. He agreed that it was not in the best
condition, however, it is something that other cities do not have. He thought that keeping
the pool alive would contribute to the success of downtown. He stated that he supports
the construction of a new facility but did not believe that Memory Square should close.
He requested that Council continue to support Memory Square pool and do everything
possible to keep Memory Square pool open.

Davidson replied that there has been no decision to close Memory Square pool. He
explained that, should Council decide to do so, it would involve public meetings and
input from the citizens.

Levihn suggested that a notice be sent to the newspapers to state that there has been no
decision to close the pool, as many residents are under the impression that the pool will
close.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT
ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Mayer reported that at the last Boulder County Recycling and Composting Authority
meeting, Eco Cycle brought forward a proposal requesting that towns and cities pass an
ordinance requiring multi-family sites of over eight units provide recycling facilities.
