<br />authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any <br />time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. <br />Every permit for alterations involving only one discipline <br />which is issued by the building official under the provisions <br />of this code shall expin= by limitation and become null and <br />void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not <br />commenced within 90 days from the date of such permit, or if <br />the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or <br />abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period <br />of 90 days. Before such work can be recommenced, a new permit <br />shall be first obtained to do so, and the fee therefor shall <br />be one half the amount required for a new permit for such <br />work, provided no changes have been made or will be made in <br />the original plans and specifications for such work, and <br />provided further that such suspension or abandonment has not <br />exceeded one year. In order to renew action on a permit after <br />expiration, the permittee~ shall pay a new full permit fee. <br /> <br />Section 6. Chapter 15.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended by the adoption of a new Section 15.04.065 to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />15.04.065 Section 310.6.1 amended -- per.mit Expiration. <br /> <br />The second sentence of Section 310.6.1 of Uniform <br />Building Code shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Kitchens, halls, bathrooms, toilet compartments and <br />basements of existing structures may have a ceiling height of <br />not less than 7 feet (2134 mm) measured to the lowest <br />projection from the ceiling. <br /> <br />Section 7. Subsections Band C of Section 15.04.090 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code are amended to read as follows (words to <br />be deleted are stricken through; words to be added are underlined) : <br /> <br />B. Section 1203.2 of the Uniform Building Code <br />shall read as follows: <br /> <br />1203.2. Guest rooms and habitable rooms within a <br />dwelling unit or congregate residences shall be provided <br />with natural light by means of exterior glazed openings <br />with an area not less than one tenth of the floor area of <br />such rooms with a minimum of 10 square feet. <br /> <br />Exceptions: 1. Kitchens in Group R Occupancies <br />may be provided with artificial light. 2.
