Youth Advisory Board Meeting Minutes April 5, 2007 Louisville Public Library, Board Room 951 Spruce Street 7:00 PM Call to Order - Olga Shershneva, Youth Advisory Board Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:06pm. Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: Board Members Present: Dylan Cousins, Hannah Davinroy, Ruby Dickson, Keegan Dougherty, Alex Kolber, Michelle Shearer, Olga Shershneva, Phoebe Szeton, Megan Valentine, Fran Waldman Board Members Absent: AJ Ehlert, Andrew Reetz, Sheri Marsella Staff Member Present: Kriska Daltonhurst Approval of Agenda - all members approved the agenda. Approval of Meeting Minutes - Meeting minutes were approved. Public comments - Peter Margolis from the City of Louisville Aquatics Department came to plan the Memory Square pool clean up project with us. It was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 11th from 4-7pm. Recruitment- . An ad was put in the Rec. Center's newsletter about how to sign up. . Our recruitment video is going to be less than 3 minutes long and burned onto DVDs to give out to schools. We would like to shoot the video at the Memory Square clean-up project and the next work session on April 23rd from 7 -8pm in the library. Ruby Dickson's father, Mike, attended the meeting and agreed to do the filming with his camera. . A rough draft of flyer was made but it was decided that it was a bit too wordy so it will be revised. . The display case will be done next month. Fran and Michelle would like to dress up a mannequin in a Y AB t-shirt and place photos around it with applications outside the case. . It was suggested that applications for the next year's board be due on July 2nd instead of in June. . Megan agreed to contact Mandy about the ad that appeared in the Rec. Center's magazine and seeing if it could be placed in two newspapers.
