Resource Conservation

Advisory Board

Meeting Minutes
April 9, 2007
City Hall
Planning Dept. Conference Room
6:45 PM

Call to Order - Chairperson Mark Persichetti called the meeting to order at
6:45pm.

Roll Call was taken and the following members were present:

Board Members Present: Mark Persichetti, Laura Page, Beth Armbruster,
Richard Sm ith

Board Members Absent: Brian Wong, Jenny Braus, Billy O'Donnell

Staff Members Present: Scott Robson

Approval of Agenda - The agenda for the meeting was approved.

Approval of Meeting Minutes - March 12, 2007 minutes were not completed.

Mark discussed the results of his meeting with the Building Code Board of
Appeals.
. He emphasized the importance of members of the LRCAB attending the joint
meeting with the City Council to represent our position.
. Rex appeared to be open to a green building code if it doesn't add to his work
load and increase his costs.
. Some on the board were concerned with burdening poor residents with the
cost of mandated efficiency. For example, replacing old windows with new,
higher efficiency windows.
. The board suggested that we present short-term recommendations and long-
term recommendations. Short-term recommendations would include items
such as wood recycling, and grey water. Long-term recommendations would
include items such as Green Points, Built Green program, or other similar
programs.
. The state resource conservation group will help municipalities develop their
own programs.

City Manager's Office
303.335.4536 (phone)

City of Louisville
749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303.335.4550 (fax) www.ci./ouisville.co.us
