<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1263 <br />SERIES 1997 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR NOVEMBER 4 <br />1997, TO BE CONDUCTED AS A COORDINATED ELECTION, TO REFER <br />ONE OR MORE BALLOT ISSUES TO A VOTE OF THE REGISTERED <br />ELECTORS OF THE CITY, AND ELECTING TO UTILIZE THE <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE UNIFORM ELECTION CODE OF 1992. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is in the best interest of <br />the City of Louisville to call a special election for November 4r <br />1997r to be conducted as a coordinated electionr and refer one or <br />more ballot issues to a vote of the registered electors of the City <br />at such special municipal election. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. A special municipal election is hereby called <br />to be held on November 4, 1997. <br /> <br />Section 2. The November 4, 1997, special municipal <br />election shall be conducted as part of a coordinated election. <br />Pursuant to Section 31-10-102.7 of the Colorado Municipal Election <br />Code of 1965r the City will utilize the requirements and procedures <br />of the Uniform Election Code of 1992 in lieu of the Colorado <br />Municipal Election Code of 1965 for the conduct of the special <br />election. <br /> <br />Section 3. One or more ballot issues will be referred to <br />the registered electors of the City and appear on the ballot of the <br />City of Louisville special municipal election to be held on <br />November 4r 1997. The wording of the ballot issue(s) shall be <br />provided by resolution of the Louisville City Council prior to any <br />deadline for adoption. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br />hereby authorized <br />appropriate action <br />in accordance with <br /> <br />The officers and employees of the City are <br />and directed to take all necessary and <br />to effectuate the provisions of this ordinance <br />Colorado law. <br /> <br />Section 5. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be <br />invalid for any reasonr such decision shall not affect the validity <br />of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
