Award Bid for Water Treatment Plant Chemicals
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Avenue, Louisville, CO continued the filibuster, which he
began on April 6, 2010 regarding his perception that Louisville City Officials cover up
the illegal activities of the local cable television company. He claimed those actions
directly benefited the cable television and disenfranchised Louisville voters. He outlined
the history of information he presented to the Mayor and Council, which documented
the cable television company's failure to comply with the Louisville Municipal Code. He
stated to date he has not received a response to his request.
COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE
AGENDA
Mayor Sisk reported the Superior Book Drop will be dedicated tomorrow afternoon and
noted it was a wonderful addition to both communities. He referenced concern the
Monarch Swim Team voiced at the July 5, 2011 Council meeting and noted he
contacted Principal Jerry Anderson and Athletic Director Mark Sibley relative to the
swim team schedule. Mr. Sibley stated there were absolutely no issues between
Monarch High School and the Louisville Recreation Center in terms of scheduling. He
requested the Monarch High School Administration and the Louisville Recreation Center
continue to work together.
Mayor Sisk noted Councilor Sackett and he would not be at the August 2 Council
meeting. He asked Council members whether they would attend the meeting to ensure
there would be a quorum. It was confirmed there would be a quorum.
CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
City Manager Fleming stated the Superior Book Drop dedication is on Thursday at 4:30
p.m. at the Superior Town Hall. He thanked Town of Superior Board of Trustee Sandy
Pennington and Councilor Dalton for their work on the project.
REGULAR BUSINESS
PRESENTATION 2010 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT
Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation.
Finance Director Watson introduced David DeZutter from Eide Bailly, the City's external
auditors, who would make a formal presentation of the 2010 Comprehensive Annual
Financial Report (CAFR).
