ÐßÎÕÍ ú ÎÛÝÎÛßÌ×ÑÒ
Memorandum
To: Horticulture & Forestry Advisory Board
From:
Kathy Kron, Parks & Recreation Project Manager
Date: September 22, 2011
Re: City Entry Sign Signature Landscape
Attached is a preliminary landscape plan provided by Design Concepts of Lafayette which depicts
proposed landscaping for a new City entry sign to be located at the SW corner of Highway 42 and
Paschal Drive. The sign design is also attached for reference. While the landscape design provided is
specific to this location, the intention is for it to become a signature landscape for future City entry signs
as well. The plant palette and spacial organization of the plants will be repeated and utilized wherever
future signs are installed. The intention is for the landscaping to be an identifiable feature that is
associated with all City entrances.
Design Concepts and City staff are requesting input on the preliminary landscape plan in order to make
revisions prior to finalizing the design.
