<br />City Council <br />Special Meeting Minutes <br />June 12, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown reported the subcommittee met with the City Manager <br />finalist and negotiated an employment agreement. The City's new City Manager <br />is Malcolm Fleming, and his first day of employment will be August 15. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown explailned the agreement was within the City's range and <br />met Mr. Fleming's expectations. Mr. Fleming has ties to Colorado and is pleased <br />to have chosen by the City. Brown expressed his thanks to Council member <br />Muckle, City Attorney Sam Light, Human Resources Manager Kathleen Hix and <br />HR Technician Robin Perez for their work on the employment agreement. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk explained the employment contract includes a severance package, <br />moving expenses, and health benefits. He stated Mr. Fleming is very qualified <br />and the City is fortunate to have hired him for the City Manager position. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS - Non43. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Brown moved to approve the City Manager <br />Employment Agreement, seconded by Council member Muckle. Roll call vote <br />was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk thanked Mayor Pro Tem Brown, Council member Muckle, City <br />Attorney Light and Human RE~sources Manager Hix for their work on the City <br />Manager employment agreement. He commended Interim City Manager Balser <br />for her dedication to the City of Louisville. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown moved for adjournment, secon <br />Clabots.a~~~ing was adjourned at 6:44 p.m. <br />.."
