RESOLUTION NO. 34 SERIES 2007 CITY OJF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR HOME CONSORTIUM INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENT NO.1 TO HOME CONSORTIUM INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the United States Government, through the National Affordable Housing Act of 1930, has established the HOME Investment Partnerships Act Program ("HOME" or "HOME Program"); and WHEREAS, the City of Boulder, the City of Longmont, the City and County of Broomfield, and Boulder County ("HOME ConsOItium") entered into a HOME Consortium Intergovernmental Agreement ("Intergovernmental Agreement") dated June 27, 2006, to bring additional funds to the region for the purpose of expansion and rehabilitation of the supply of decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing and to strengthen partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector; and WHEREAS, HUD Notice CPD 07-04 issued June 12, 2007, requires that the HOME Consortium amend its Intergovernmental Agreement to add incorporated cities and towns by name to the HOME Consortium; and WHEREAS, participation in the HOME Consortium will enhance cooperation between jurisdictions and will maximize the use of resources available to local governments to affect the housing-related problems of lower-income people; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Louisville approves the mutual covenants and promises contained in the HOME Consortium Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, and confirms its participation on those terms. Further, be it resolved, that the City of Louisville authorizes Mayor Charles Sisk to sign Amendment No. 1 to HOME Consortium Intergovernmental Agreement, in substantially the same form of the copy of such Amendment No. 1 which is attached hereto.
