Company Name and individual name will <br />not be permitted on the same sign. Further, if there are <br />signs contrary to this policy they would be changed to be in <br />compliance. Signs will be wooden posts that are easily <br />removable. Solicitation for volunteers will be posted on <br />signs in areas not currently adopted. Motion was seconded <br />by Linda Smith and passed unanimously by the board. <br />b. Four new areas of resurfacing are planned (Arboretum, <br />Daughenbau9h, Aquarius, and Tamarisk.) <br />c. One new trail Gonstruction planned at Tamarisk <br />d. Harney-Lastoka property, South of Boulder Road trail is scheduled <br />to be constructed this summer. No change at this time on the <br />Damyanovich parcels. <br /> <br />VII. Board Updates <br />a. No Board Updates <br />VIII. Description and Wei~)hting of Open Space Ranking System <br />a. Vegetation: the abundance / diversity of native plant species. The <br />greater the abundance / diversity the higher the score <br />b. Wetlands: Those areas that are inundated or saturaded by surface <br />or ground watlSr at a frequency and duration sufficient to support a <br />prevalence of vegetation. The greater the value to the surrounding <br />environment tine higher the score. <br />c. Riparian Areas: Riparian vegetation and land adjacent to natural <br />flowing water. The greater the value to the surrounding <br />environment the higher the score. <br />d. Wildlife Habitat: area that provides shelter, food, or protection for <br />wildlife. HighHr ratings given to all three elements being present or <br />one element being present in abundance. <br />e. Connectivity: A piece of land that contributes to an overall open <br />space network. <br />f. Open Water: A standing body of water year round or seasonal. <br />g. Topographic / Geological Significance: Features that act as visual <br />markers, aesthetic formations, geological uniqueness, or vantage <br />points deemed of public value. <br />h. Size: The acreage of open space - the larger size would have <br />higher rankin~J. <br />i. Public Visibility: The degree in which the open space can be <br />viewed from public roads or facilities. <br />j. Scenic: The visual enjoyment the area provides <br />k. Views: Natural unobstructed scenery <br />I. Historical Significance: Contains physical reminders, archeological <br />sites, or historical structures, or there is knowledge of significant <br />past use that is of public value to protect. <br />
