<br />Louisville Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />Public Relations <br /> <br />Kathy Pollicita coordinated a fundraising letter to 700 LCC mailing list names, <br />and 500 Louisville Chamber of Commerce names. The City assisted with LCC <br />letterhead, letters, return envelopes, printing and mailing. <br /> <br />Kathy Martin sent a press release to the Louisville Times regarding the Summer <br />Concert Series. Maryan Jaross followed-up with more details and <br />correspondence with regard to the concerts. <br /> <br />Three newsletters were sent to the eNewsletter subscriber list regarding the <br />Summer Concert Series. The newsletter list is at 375 subscribers. <br /> <br />Arts Center <br /> <br />The question came up whether the Arts Steering Committee needs to be <br />operating under Open Government rules. All present agreed they need to <br />continue operating under Open Government rules until which time they are filed <br />as their own Non-profit and they can choose to do otherwise. <br /> <br />Sponsorsh i ps <br /> <br />Fundraising dollars for the Summer Concert Series were as follows: <br /> <br />1 ih Avenue Allstars: $99 <br />- Kory Brunson Band: $70 <br />- Cortino's $100 (Split between 3 summer concerts.) <br />- City-provided fund-raising letter: $724 (In kind?) <br />- City-provided banner: $200 (In kind? Split between 3 summer concerts.) <br />- TBD: Sugar Daddy donations & donations submitted via mail. <br /> <br />Kathy Martin had a few contributions that were sent via mail to the Recreation <br />Center, and we asked her to save them for Kathy Pollicita's return. <br /> <br />Summer Concerts <br /> <br />See Sponsorships. <br /> <br />Brainstorming <br /> <br />Rene Heredia, Flaminco guitarist, wants to work with us again, this time with <br />dancers. Wendy is working to have them perform at the Rocky Mountain Center <br />for Musical Arts, where they will pay him $2,000. LCC will contribute $500 <br />toward that from the Oct. Coffeehouse Concert budget. <br />
