Incident Report - Muth reported on the June 26 incident where Nadine <br />Caranci fell on the steps of the museum. The Commission voted to send a <br />get-well fruit basket to Nadine Caranci. <br />C. The Historical Commission has been moved to from the August 28 City <br />Council Study Session agenda to the September 11 Study Session. Study <br />Session's are held in the Library Meeting Room. <br />D. Discussions with Boulder Valley School District regarding improvements to <br />Louisville Middle School are continuing. <br /> <br />VIII. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Deeds of Gifts <br />1. Don Ross and Art Ohanion - World War I Army clothing that belonged to <br />Arthur Ohanion, Sr. <br />2. Virginia Lane - Binder with DiPilla family history and photos <br />3. Rich Franchini - Mining tools and household items <br />4. John Madonna - Cash register from the Bugdust Pool Hall <br />5. Anthony C. Romeo - Copies of photos relating to the Romeo family and <br />its home on Garfield Avenue <br />B. Consideration of Other Donations - A coal oil/kerosene three burner <br />freestanding stove from early 1900s is being considered. Bob Enrietto will <br />obtain further measurements before a decision is made. <br />C. Correspondence <br />1. Newsletters from Lafayette Historical Society and Superior Historical <br />Commission <br />2. Colorado Heritage publication from the Colorado History Museum <br />3. The Annual Meeting of the American Association of Museums will be held <br />in Denver in spring 2008. <br />D. Visitors <br />June - 319 <br />Year-to-Date - 687 <br />E. Activity Report <br />1. Sales tax report for second quarter - Museum remitted sales tax collected on <br />$1,337.00. <br />2. Bridget Bacon purchased a copy of a 1925 Drumm's Wall Map of Louisville <br />from the Carnegie Library for the Museum at a cost of $14. <br /> <br />IX. Committee Reports <br />A. Facility Management <br />1. Campus Maintenance: the back porch and cellar door on the Tomeo <br />House will be rebuilt by City of Louisville staff; Denver Boiler Company <br />serviced the air conditioning system. <br />2. Fencing - Muth recommended that the Commission get its own bids on <br />fencing, as Land Management may have to put off getting fencing for the <br />cemetery until 2008. If the Commission really wants it done this year, it <br />may have to be a stand alone project. <br />3. Landscaping: Boulder County Youth Corps has finished the back <br />flowerbeds; the Commission agreed to reimburse the City of Louisville for <br />cost of landscaping materials that were higher than the original estimates. <br />4. Painting estimates are still coming in. <br />
