Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 11, 2011 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />Pritchard stated his support for the project and parking should not be adjusted on <br />the fly. <br />Brauneis stated the Allen Company will be a good addition to the CTC and he <br />looks forward to seeing the completed building. <br />Lipton moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. 18, <br />Series 2011 a resolution recommending approval of the final plat and final PUD <br />development plan for the development of two buildings totaling 313,290 SF <br />located on five (5) lots of the Colorado Technological Center Subdivision, Filing 2 <br />(Lots 8, 9, 10, 13 and 14) with the conditions as presented by staff. <br />Sheets offered a friendly amendment to include a Condition #3 which reads as <br />follows: Should the use of these building change from "warehouse /manufacturing <br />space" to "office space ", the minimum parking and the bicycle rack ratios set forth <br />in the IDDSG shall be met." <br />Pritchard and Lipton accepted the friendly amendment. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Name <br />Vote <br />Jeff Lipton <br />Yes <br />Chris Pritchard <br />Yes <br />Susan S. Loo <br />Yes <br />Ann O'Connell <br />Excused <br />Monica Sheets <br />Yes <br />Steve Brauneis <br />Yes <br />Scott Russell <br />Yes <br />Motion passed: <br />6 to 0 <br />Planning Commission Comments: <br />None heard. <br />Staff Comments <br />➢ Impact of 2010 Decennial Census— Population per household <br />adjustment <br />Russ led a discussion regarding the impact of 2010 Decennial Census with the <br />following points: <br />Population in 2000 was 18,937 and in 2011 it was 18,376 which reflects a <br />change of 561 fewer residents or -3 %. <br />The change is due to aging population, and children leaving home. <br />1,644 units are permitted in the Framework Plan. <br />There 175 units allocated in Opportunity Area #4 could be removed. <br />Lipton asked what direction did staff want to go with this. <br />Russ stated it is information for Comprehensive Plan compliance. <br />Lipton asked when the Comp Plan will be updated. <br />
