<br />Section 5. <br /> <br />Application. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall apply to every <br /> <br />street, alley, sidewalk area, d~iveway, park, and to every other <br /> <br />public way or public parking area, either within or outside the <br /> <br />corporate limits of this municipality, the use of which this <br /> <br />municipality has jurisdiction and authority to regulate. The <br /> <br />provisions of sections 5-1, 5-2, 15-12 and 2J-J of the adopted <br /> <br />Model Traffic Code respectively concerning reckless driving, <br /> <br />careless driving, unauthorized signs, signals or markings, and <br /> <br />accident investigation shall apply not only to public places and <br /> <br />ways but also throughout this municipality. <br /> <br />Section 6. <br /> <br />Validity. <br /> <br />If any part or parts of this ordinance <br /> <br />are for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not <br /> <br />affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville hereby declares that <br /> <br />it would have passed this ordinance and each part or parts thereof, <br /> <br />irrespective of the fact that anyone part or parts might be <br /> <br />declared invalid. <br /> <br />Section 7. <br /> <br />The following sections are to be included in <br /> <br />Article XXVI of the Model Traffic Code: <br /> <br />Sections 26-2 and 26-J. <br /> <br />Decreased and increased speed <br /> <br />limits. <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions of sections 4-2 <br /> <br />and 4-J of the Model Traffic Code for Colorado Municipalities <br /> <br />and when official signs are erected giving notice thereof, <br /> <br />the speed limit shall be as specified for the following <br /> <br />intersections or approaches thereto and upon the following <br /> <br />streets or portions thereof: <br /> <br />Name of street or <br />Intersection <br /> <br />Portion affected <br />~rminal limits) <br /> <br />Speed Limit <br /> <br />County Road <br /> <br />Elm Street to City Limits <br /> <br />25 M.P.H. <br /> <br />Main Street <br /> <br />Parkview to South Boulder <br />Road <br /> <br />25 M.P.H. <br /> <br />Roosevelt/Bella <br />Vista Drive <br /> <br />Elm Street to City Limits <br /> <br />25 M.P.H. <br /> <br />Pine Street <br /> <br />Highway 42 to Front Street <br /> <br />25 M.P.H. <br /> <br />Griffith Street <br /> <br />Highway 42 to Main Street <br /> <br />25 M.P.H. <br /> <br />South Boulder Road <br /> <br />Highway 42 to Main Street <br /> <br />South Boulder Road <br /> <br />Main Street to Via Appia <br /> <br />40 M.P.H. <br />40 M.P.H. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
