PAGE TWO <br />SUBJECT: HUMAN RESOURCES INFORMATION SYSTEM DEMONSTRATION <br />DATE: SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 <br />forms indicating what medical, dental and vision plan they choose and what beneficiaries will <br />be covered, and each new hire must provide all employment related information. Epicor's <br />system would enable this to be done by employees on line (from home, if they wish). This <br />would minimize staff time and lost productivity and minimize the chances of errors associated <br />with manually entering into the existing system data from paper forms. <br />Mike Mukala, Territory Manager, and Ryan Bergstrom, Director Solution Engineering, from <br />Epicor Software Corporation will attend the Study Session to present a snapshot of the system <br />and how it can be of assistance to all city employees, managers, and department directors. <br />They will demonstrate components of the Manager Self- Service Module, the Employee Self <br />Service Module, highlight some of the reporting capabilities including turnover data, salary <br />planning and salary modeling, along with other topics identified during the demonstration. <br />Staff intends to prepare a contract agreement for Council consideration at the September 20, <br />2011 City Council meeting for the Epicor Software Corporation's HCM v.5.5.3 System. An <br />Executive Summary of Epicor Software Corporation's HCM product is attached for additional <br />detail. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The 2011 CIP includes $75,000 for an HRIS.
