<br />ORDINAN CE 564 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE <br />HOMES WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE I COLO- <br />RADO I ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO THE <br />STANDARD FOR MOBILE HOMES I 1973 EDITION I <br />OF THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS I the City Council has made a thorough study of the <br /> <br />1973 Edition of the Standard for Mobile Homes I and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS I the City Council is of the opinion that portions of <br /> <br />same should be adopted. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Ordinances 390, 354 I and Chapter 33 (Chapter <br /> <br />15.24, Title 15) of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Pursuant to Chapter 31, Article 16 I Colorado <br /> <br />Revised Statutes I 1973 as amended, there is hereby adopted as a <br /> <br />part of the Louisville J\1unicipal Code and as the Mobile Home Code <br /> <br />of the City of Louisville by reference thereto, parts C. D. I and E of <br /> <br />the Standard for MobilE~ Homes, 1973 edition I as amended herein I <br /> <br />published by the National Fire Protection As sociation I 470 Atlantic <br /> <br />Avenue, Boston I Massachusetts I and approved by the American <br /> <br />National Standards Institute, all to have the same force and effect <br /> <br />as if set forth herein in every particular. The subject matter of the <br /> <br />adopted code includes comprehensive provisions and standards <br /> <br />regulating the construction, alteration I extension, location I installa- <br /> <br />tion I use and maintenance of mobile homes. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The following sections are hereby added to the <br /> <br />standard for Mobile Homes, 1973 edition: <br /> <br />Section 5.1.1 (a) Gas Shutoffs and Piping <br /> <br />Each mobile home shall be equipped with a readily acces sible <br /> <br />and identified gas shutoff valve upstream of the gas outlet and located <br /> <br />on an outlet riser at a height of not less than four (4) inches above <br /> <br />grade. No shutoff valves of any type shall be located under the mobile <br /> <br />home. All gas piping shall be tested to sustain air pressure of 20 <br /> <br />pounds for 30 minutes. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
