• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 63 <br /> SERIES 2011 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br /> LOUISVILLE AND THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR <br /> THE LOUISVILLE STATION AREA NEXT STEPS IMPLEMENTATION PLAN AND <br /> THE HIGHWAY 42 CORRIDOR PLAN FOR LOCKE STREET TO PASCHAL DRIVE <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been selected to receive funding through CDOT Funding <br /> Advancement for Surface Transportation and Economic Recovery (FASTER) for funding of a <br /> project referred to as project FAS 042A-007 (18464), which includes funds for a combined study <br /> for the downtown Louisville Station Area and State Highway 42 Corridor (Locke Street to <br /> Paschal Drive), which such study shall be used to identify multimodal connections within the <br /> Station Area and to develop a multimodal design and infrastructure implementation plan for the <br /> Corridor; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Contract between the City and CDOT has been proposed regarding <br /> CDOT's funding of the project; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the proposed Contract is in the best interests of the <br /> • City and its citizens, and by this resolution desires to approve the Contract, authorize its execution, <br /> and authorize completion of the project as described in said Contract; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE,COLORADO: <br /> 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain Contract between the City of <br /> Louisville and the State of Colorado for the use and benefit of the Colorado Department of <br /> Transportation for funding of a project described in said Contact and referred to as project FAS <br /> 042A-007 (18464) (the "Contract"). A true copy of the Contract is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Contract on behalf of the City <br /> Council of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is hereby further authorized to negotiate <br /> and approve such revisions to the Contract as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable <br /> for the protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of the Contract are not <br /> altered. <br /> 3. The Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk, Director of Public Works and City staff <br /> are hereby authorized to execute all documents and do all other things necessary on behalf of the <br /> City to effectuate funding of the project under the Contract, to provide for completion of work <br /> under the project, and to perform the obligations of the City under the Contract, including but not <br /> • Resolution No.63,Series 2011 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
