Staff would bring this matter to Council within the next four City Council <br /> meetings. <br /> PRESENTATION — CITY MANAGER'S PROPOSED 2012 BUDGET AND 2012 —2016 <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN — Set Public Hearing — October 18, 2011 <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a staff presentation. <br /> City Manager Fleming reviewed the Proposed 2012 Budget for all funds and described <br /> the proposed budget both by programs and by individual funds. Key Factors in the <br /> City's Fiscal Health: <br /> • Voters approved the Use Tax last November <br /> • Building activity generating an increase in permit and building use tax revenue <br /> • Louisville is recognized as a destination for food/fun resulting in sales tax <br /> • Council's actions in late 2009 and early 2010 to bring the City's expenditures and <br /> revenues back into balance even with the loss of Sam's Club and Safeway. <br /> 2012 Budget Focus Areas: <br /> • Increase funding for street resurfacing <br />
