<br />5. Group M - unlimited. There is no limit on the number <br />of additions or alterations I or remodeling of the group occupancies listed <br />in this subsection; provided I however, that the total of the additions to <br />group A-4 and group 8-2 occupancies does not exceed two thousand square <br />feet during any calendar year, and the total of the additions to group R - 1 <br />occupancies does not exceed six thousand square feet during any calendar <br />year. A builder's license, clas s 8 I shall entitle the licensee to contract <br />for and do the necessary demolition and wrecking work in connection with <br />the work specified in this subsection. <br /> <br />C. Class C. A builder's license I class C, shall entitle the <br />licensee to contract for and to do the work of building, or contracting for, <br />or altering or adding to structural portions of buildings, structures, or <br />portions thereof of types III I IV and V construction in the following number <br />of occupancies classifications: <br /> <br />I . Group 8, Division 2 - one new structure, the floor area <br />not to exceed one thousand square feet or have an occupant load of more <br />than thirty; <br />2. Group R I Division 1 - one new structure or addition, <br />where the floor area does not exceed two thousand square feet; <br />3. Group R I Division 3 - two new structures, where the <br />floor area of any individual structure does not exceed fifteen hundred <br />square feet; <br />4. Group J -- unlimited. There is no limit on the number <br />of additional alterations or remodeling of the group occupancies mentioned <br />in this subsection; provided, however I that the sum total of the additions <br />to group 8 - 2 occupancies does not exceed one thousand square feet, and <br />that the sum of additions to group R - I occupancies does not exceed two <br />thousand square feet during any calendar year. A builder's license, class <br />C I shall entitle the licensee to contract for and to do the necessary <br />demolition or wrecking work in connection with the work specified in this <br />subsection. <br /> <br />5.12.300 Steam heating licenses. <br /> <br />8. A steam heating license I class 8, shall entitle the individual <br />license holder to install low-pressure steam and hot-water heating systems I <br />processing pipes I and similar commercial hot-water and water-vapor systems <br />where the installation of such requires a permit under provisions of this code <br />or other city ordinances governing the same. Such installations shall be <br />made in the following occupancies only: <br /> <br />1. Group R -- 1 occupancies I where the floor area of any <br />individual structure or add:ltion does not exceed three thousand square feet; <br /> <br />2. Group 8 -. 2 occupancies I two occupancies I where the <br />floor area does not exceed one thousand square feet; <br /> <br />3. Group R -. 3 occupancies, where the floor area does <br />not exceed two thousand square feet; <br /> <br />4. Group M occupancies, unlimited. <br /> <br />SECTION :3. The City Council finds this Ordinance 1s necessary <br /> <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health and public safety <br /> <br />and determines that it shall take effect immediately upon its final passage <br /> <br />and publication. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
