<br />RESOLUTION NO. 27 <br />SERIES 1978 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 22, 1878, the Town of Louisville, Colorado, <br />was founded on a site of the coal fields of east Boulder County; <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town grew and prospered through the expansion of <br /> <br />and involvement the coal industry; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1978 th,e City of Louisville, Colorado, is cele- <br /> <br />brating its Centennial y,ear; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Honorable Governor of the great state of Colo- <br /> <br />rado has designated the City of Louisville as "Honorary State <br /> <br />Capital of the Day". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that August 22nd, 1978, is <br /> <br />hereby proclaimed to be FOUNDERS DAY in the City of Louisville to <br /> <br />commorate the founding of our city. <br />Passed and adopted this I/rt!:- day of August, 1978. <br /> <br />~~ <br />, Mayor <br />fI <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~/8{~ >1 .JhJL <br />~ty er <br />
