RESOLUTION NO. 30 SERIES 1997 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE DETERMINING TO ESTABLISH A PEDESTRIAN MALL IN OLD TOWN LOUISVILLE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville desires to establish a pedestrian mall on one block of Spruce Street and portions of Front Street in Old Town Louisville; and WHEREAS, the pedestrian mall to be established is particularly described below and is depicted on the map on file in the office of the City Clerk, a copy of which is attached hereto; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Public Mall Act of 1970, the City Council by Resolution No. 24, Series 1997, declared its intent to establish the pedestrian mall; and WHEREAS, the City Council has provided notice and held a public hearing relative to the establishment of the pedestrian mall, as required by the Public Mall Act of 1970. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: 1. The City Council determines that the public interest and convenience require the establishment of a pedestrian mall in Old Town Louisville, and the City Council hereby determines to establish such pedestrian mall. 2. The portions of municipal streets that are to be established as a pedestrian mall include that one block of Spruce Street lying east of Front Street and west of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company right -of -way; and approximately the easternmost twenty feet of Front Street beginning at a point approximately 20 feet south of the south right-of-way line of Spruce Street and extending approximately 240 north. 3. The City Council may within 180 days of the passage of this Resolution pass on first reading an ordinance finally establishing the pedestrian mall.
