RESOLUTION NO. 34 SERIES 1997 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND THE TOWN OF SUPERIOR. WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado Constitution Article XIV, Section 18 (2) (a) and C.R.S. s29-1-201, et ~, Louisville may cooperate or contract with other municipalities to provide any function, service or facility lawfully authorized to each; and WHEREAS, pursuant to C.R.S. s29-20-101, et ~, Louisville is authorized and encouraged to cooperate or contract with other municipalities pursuant to C.R.S. s29-1-201, ~ ~, for the purposes of planning or regulating the development of land; and WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement has been proposed between the City of Louisville and the Town of Superior; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds the proposed intergovernmental agreement is in the best interests of the City and its citizens. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: 1. The proposed intergovernmental agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved. 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the attached intergovernmental agreement on behalf of the City Council of the City of Louisville, except that the Mayor is hereby further authorized to negotiate and approve such revisions to the intergovernmental agreement as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable for the protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of the intergovernmental agreement are not altered.
