Louisville Housing Authority LOUISVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, October 25, 2011- 8:00 am Regal Square (255 Regal St.) Louisville, CO 80027 To foster the availability of quality, affordable housing and related for the residents of Louisville, using broad community resources. The Housing Authority of the City of Louisville will accomplish its mission through: community collaboration, effective services and programs, professional organization, efficient resource management, and the expansion offunding sources. Commissioners Present: Terri Abbott, Walt Oehlkers Commissioners Absent: Scott McKenzie, Kelly Campbell Staff Present: Frank Alexander, Director Boulder County Housing & Human Services, Chuck Schloz, Housing Division Director; Sally Vigil, Property Management Supervisor; Kristin Durso, Senior Services Resource Coordinator; Alma Torres, Administrative Technician; Geneva Z. Bailey, Administrative Technician; Karen Finch, Field Supervisor Maintenance Department Others: Bonnie Star, City of Louisville; Sherry Marsella City of Louisville, Louisville Mayor pro -tem; Liz Black League of Women Voters of Boulder County; Marc Devries and Mark Elmshauser, Clifton Gunderson, LLP Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 8:03 a.m. Approval of the Agenda Two members of the Louisville Housing Authority were present. The agenda was considered informal. Matters from Members of the Public None. Update on Board Membership and updated Board Membership List Contact information sheets were given to the board and guests. Frank said that we are in recruitment and will likely need a new resident member, in addition to a new board member and an alternate. Applications must be in by October 31st. In the interim, if we continue to only have 3 members or do not have a quorum, we could potentially change the Bylaws. Director's Update Frank introduced Richard Sosa, Finance and Administration Director for the Department. He was the CFO at the Denver Public Library System and has done affordable housing with the Archdiocese. We had a successful ground breaking ceremony for Josephine Commons. He appreciated seeing several board members at the ceremony. Update from October 11, 2011 City Council Study Session Terry said that the City Council Study session was good. Chuck wanted to make certain that he left on a positive note. At the meeting, Terry gave a nice summary of the Louisville Housing Authority Portfolio nalysis.
