'- <br /> <br />c '\ <br />" <br /> <br />~ <br />o ~ <br />o :~'" <br /> <br />ORDINANCE d {, / <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF mE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADOPTING <br />BY REFERENCE "mE MODEL TRAFFIC CODE FOR COlDRADO MUNICIPAUTIES" 1966 EDITION <br />AS AMENDED HEREIN, AND SETTING FORnI PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, <br />AND REPEAUNG ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT nIERE.WITH. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF lDUISVILLE, COlDRADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 31 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"31.1. Pursuant to the authority conferred by Sections 1-8, Article <br />34, Chapter 139, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, as amended, there is hereby <br />adopted as the traffic ordinance for the Ci ty of Loui svi lle, 'The Mode 1 <br />Traffic Code for Colorado Municipalities' with the exception of Article <br />XIV of the Ordinance \\rhich is not so adopted and which is deleted." <br /> <br />"31.2. -rhe Model Traffic Code for Colorado Municipalities' also <br />referred to as 'The Model Traffic Ordinance for Colorado Municipalities' <br />is published by the Colorado Highway Safety Council, for the purpose <br />of providing uniform traffic laws for municipalities throughout the <br />State of Colorado. The Model Ordinance includes comprehensive pro- <br />visions covering: A. Rules of the Road, including rules for drivers, <br />pedestrians and operators of bicycles; B. Enforcement and Violation, <br />including'the policing of accidents and other violations; C. Admin- <br />istration, including the establishment of a traffic violation bureau <br />and traffic a,dministration. It was adopted and approved by the Colorado <br />Highway Safety Council on February 17, 1966." <br /> <br />"31.3. At lea,st three certified copies of the Model Code are on <br />file at the office of the City Clerk and may be inspected during reg- <br />ular business hours. In addition, copies are available for distri- <br />bution and sale to the public at a price not to exceed $1.00 per copy." <br /> <br />"31.4. The following section of 'The Model Traffic Code for <br />Colorado Municipali ti4~s' is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 17- 3. License Application - Application for a bicycle <br />license shall be made upon a form provided by the municipality <br />and shall be madl:! to the chief of police or other authorized <br />official. A license fee of one dollar shall be paid to the City <br />Clerk before each license is granted. A license shall be good and <br />valid for the calendar year in which it is issued and it must be <br />renewed for ea,ch subsequent calenda,r yea.r." <br /> <br />-1- <br />
