<br />ORDINANCE NO. 368 <br /> <br />AN ORDINAI'\ICE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 356 BY PROVID- <br />ING FOR THE LEVYING OF A 2% PRIVILEGE OR LICENSE TAX AGAINST <br />PERSONS ENGAGING IN A RETAIL BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF LOUIS- <br />VILLE, COLORADO, INSTEAD OF THE 1% PROVIDED IN SAID ORDINANCE <br />NO. 356. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the following Section of Ordinance No. 356 is hereby <br /> <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 11. RETAILER RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT <br />OF TAX. <br />Every retai ler (also herein called "vendor") <br />shall be liable and responsible for the payment of an amount <br />equivalent to two per cent (2%) of all of the gross receipts <br />from sales made by him of commodities or services speci- <br />fied in Section 9, and shall before the fifteenth (15th) day of <br />each month make a return to the Treasurer for the preceding <br />calendar month and remit an amount equivalent to said two <br />per cent (2%) of sl.Jch sal~s to said Treasurer. <br /> <br />----------- <br /> <br />11-2. Alternate Method. In lieu of filing a return <br />on forms prepared by the Treasurer the ta,xpayer may fi Ie <br />a copy of his Colorado Retai I Sales Tax Return for the <br />same period and r'emit to the Treasurer two-thirds (2/3) <br />of the amount shown thereon as being due to the Colorado <br />Department of Revenue. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That all other ordinances or parts or provisions of the Muni- <br /> <br />cipal Code of the City of Louisville in conflict with this ordinance are hereby <br /> <br />repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />That WHEREAS the imposition of this privilege and occupation <br /> <br />tax is immediately needed to supplement and add to the revenue of the City <br />
