<br />conduct water pipes across lots or building to adjoining premises with- <br /> <br />out the permission of the Water Superintendent. Water service to a por- <br /> <br />tion of developed property shall not be permitted. Service must include <br /> <br /> <br />all improvements on the pro'perty wi th no cross connections wi th any other <br /> <br /> <br />water supply. Service pipe.s must be laid at least four (4') feet below <br /> <br />the surface of the ground. The City shall not be responsible for the <br /> <br />service pipes and fixtures. All owners at their own expense, must keep <br /> <br />service pipes from the City main and all their apparatus in good working <br /> <br />order and properly protected from frost and other disturbances. No claim <br /> <br />shall be made against the City on account of the breaking of service pipes <br /> <br /> <br />or apparatus or for failure in the supply of water. No reduction in the <br /> <br /> <br />rates will be made for any time that service pipes or fixtures may be <br /> <br /> <br />frozen. <br /> <br />13-1-16 Hose and Nozzle SLze. Consumers shall not use hose larger than <br /> <br />three-fourths (3/4") of an :inch in diameter, and sprinkling without a <br /> <br />nozzle or from a nozzle larger than three-sixteenths (3/16") of an inch <br /> <br /> <br />opening is strictly forbiddl~n. In addition to the penalty provided herein <br /> <br /> <br />for Code violations, any violation of this section may cause a revocation <br /> <br /> <br />of sprinkling rights for thl~ remainder of the season. <br /> <br /> <br />13-1-17 Waste of Water Prohibited. Consumers shall prevent unnecessary <br /> <br /> <br />waste of water and keep all water outlets closed when not in actual use. <br /> <br /> <br />Hydrants, urinals, water closets, bath tubs and other openings must not <br /> <br />be left running for any purpose other than the use for ,which they were <br /> <br />intended. In addition to the penalty provided herein for Code violations, <br /> <br />the water supply may be turned off where any such was te occurs, and in such <br /> <br />case a penalty of five ($5.00) dollars must be paid before the water is <br /> <br />turned on again. <br /> <br />13-1-18 Supplying Water to Others. No occupant or owner of any building <br /> <br />into which water is introduced will be allowed to supply water to other <br /> <br />persons or families.
