Rule 4. Owners or consumers desiring to ellncontinne <br />the use of water shall file written notice thereof <br />with the Town Clerk and pay all arreara,;e; otherwise <br />water rntes will be charged until such written notice <br />is given. Upon written notice given and arrearan;es <br />paid water will be turned off and on without further <br />char*es, but no remission of paid up rates will he made <br />for less than one calendar month. <br />Rule 5. Owners or consumers desiring; to discontinue the <br />nse of water for any special purpose, whether for closets, <br />bathtubs, or other fixtures, the faucets must be removed, <br />supply pipes to the fixtures disconnected, and written <br />notice filed with the Town Clerk Before a reduction in <br />rates will be made. <br />Rule 6. The. water rates, meter rates, and as:sessrnents <br />must be paid monthly in advance without notice at the <br />office of tho Town Clerk on the first day of each and <br />every calendar month; if not so paid on or before <br />the loth day of the month they shall become delinquent <br />and a penalty of 10% must be added and collected as a <br />part of the water rental. And ifthe said w.gter rentals <br />are not paid on or before the 20th day of the said month <br />the water will be turned off, and the water shall not be <br />turned on again until all such delinquent water rents <br />shall have been paid. Should the occupant of the <br />premises turn on the water, or cause it to be turned <br />on after it has been shut off at the burb cock, it will <br />be turned off at the main and a charge of Ten dollars <br />010.00) will be made for the expenses of turning it on <br />again. <br />Rulee7. No consumer shall be permitted to conduct water <br />pipes across lots or buildings to adjoining premises. <br />Rule 8. Two or more premises cannot be supplied from one <br />and the same connection, unless provided with separate <br />shut-off cocks, licated in the street. <br />Rule 9. Service pipes must be laid at least four feet <br />below the surface of the ground, and the consumer shall <br />bear the costs of installing said servide ,pipe from the <br />corporation cock. <br />Rule 10. The Town of Louisville shall not be responsible <br />for service pipes and fixtures. Teh owners and con- <br />summersm at their own expense, must install and maintain <br />the service pipe and lines from the corporation cock to <br />their own property in good working order, and properly <br />protect from :frost and other disturbances. All digging <br />of streets and connecting to corporation cocks shall <br />require a permit to be issued by the ex-officio water <br />commissioners. <br />Rule 11. No claim shall he made against the Town of <br />Louisville, on account of the breaking of any service <br />pipes or apparatus, or for failure in the supply of <br />water. No reduction from idle regular rates will be <br />made for any time that service pipes may be frozen. <br />Rule 12. No stop inserted in the street mains for the <br />purpose of connection with the service pipes shall be <br />of a greater diameter than three -fourths of an inch. <br />Every such stop shall be of copper; and the service <br />pipes connectinn4 with said stop' shall be copper pipe. <br />All service pipes shall be cop.:er pipe of the following <br />grade and description, to -wit: "K". <br />Rule 13. "onsumers shall not use hose larger than three - <br />fourths inch in diameter, and sprinkling; without nozzle <br />or from nozzle or sprinkling system larger than one <br />-4- <br />
