<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />owners or their agents, to have the same repaired forthwith. If the owner of <br /> <br />said property shall fail to repair said curb and gutter within ten days from <br /> <br />the date of service of such notice then the Town Manager shall proceed to <br /> <br />repair the same or have the same repaired and incur the necessary expense <br /> <br />therefor which expense and the cost of repairing shall be assessed against the <br /> <br />abutting lot or property and the same notice shall be given and proceeding <br /> <br />had thereon as in the case of construction of curbs and gutters as provided <br /> <br />by thisGrdinance. <br /> <br />Section 6. Within five days after the passage and publication of this <br /> <br /> <br />Ordinance the Town Manager of the Town of Louisville shall give written notice, <br /> <br /> <br />to all persons owning property that lies contiguous to the streets and avenues <br /> <br />or any parts thereof which do not then have curbs and gutters installed, to <br /> <br />construct such curbs and gutters as in this Ordinance required, within fifteen <br /> <br />days after the service of such notice. Said notice shall be in writing and <br /> <br />addressed to the owner,or his agent,of the property to be improved and shall <br /> <br />set forth the lot and block number of the property to be improved, and shall <br /> <br />give the date that said improvements are to be completed. Said notice shall <br /> <br />also state the fact that if said improvements are not completed within the <br /> <br />time specified the same will be made by said Town and the expense thereof <br /> <br />assessed as a special tax against said lot and that the lot may be sold for <br /> <br />the nonpayment of said assessment. <br /> <br />Section 7. Said notice shall be served by the Town Manager by Registered <br /> <br />Mail, Return Receipt Kequested, or by personal service upon the owner or his <br /> <br />agent, or the occupant of said premises, or by leaving a copy of the same with <br /> <br />such owner, agent or occupant, at his or her usual place of abode in the Town <br /> <br />of Louisville. If such owner is a nonresident of the Town of Louisville and <br /> <br />has no, known agent or occupant residing within the Town or has no known address <br /> <br />upon which he may be served by Registered Mail or is unknown to said Town Mana <br /> <br />ger, said notice shall be given by publication in some newspaper published in <br /> <br />said Town for ten days, and a copy of said notice mailed to the owner, if known <br /> <br />at his last known address. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
