Update - Library Art Purchases The Mayor thanked Library Director Anne Mojo for changing her plans to attend the meeting and provide an update on the Library Art purchases. Mojo discussed the spreadsheet that was handed out at the meeting. To date $16,873 has been spent of the $50,000. Mojo explained which purchases had been purchased, were now on display, waiting to be displayed and which pieces still remained to be purchased. She said that the City Attorney was reviewing the contract for the Grand Stairway Art project with the intent that it would be brought before City Council for approval at the September 18th meeting. Mayor inquired if any art was being purchased for the Library meeting room. Mojo indicated that it appeared that there would be money leftover and that the Art Committee would look into purchasing some pieces for the room. Council member Marsella asked if there were changes to the Grand Stairway project, based on the hand out provided at the meeting. Mojo said that the examples that were given at a previous meeting were illustrations of what the Committee was looking for and that the lights along the walls will be integrated in the project but will not be included in the $50,000 art project budget. Council member Muckle indicated that there was Art work that was not sold at the Coal Creek Golf Course Art Show. Council member Brown suggested that the Library Art Committee could contact Eva or Patty for the archived catalog and could inquire about what sold and what had not sold. Mojo said that the Committee was looking at plaques to hang by each piece but that it would take more time because they wanted them to be uniform. Mojo said that they were looking to move in the direction of the kind at Avista Adventist Hospital. She also indicated that at the last discussion there was mention of having an open house to show the art work around the holidays, but that all the pieces would not be in place and she is planning on the event for sometime in the spring. Council member Sackett suggested that inviting Superior to the event may be appropriate due to the agreement between Louisville and Superior concerning the Library. The Mayor agreed with Council member Sackett's suggestion. 4. Discussion - Performance Goals and Evaluation City Manager Fleming presented the Council with suggestions for his annual goals and performance evaluation. Council member Muckle commended Fleming for the goals he had set and suggested that he also add Patio Housing for Seniors. Council member Marsella commended Fleming for the list of goals and suggested that mandatory recycling be revisited and added to the list. Council
