<br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />JUNE 28, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br /> <br />Dalton moved and Deborski seconded a motion to continue Resolution No. 30, Series 2007 to <br />the August 9th meeting as requested by the applicant. Motion passed by voice vote. Loo noted <br />that she might not be able to attend the August 9th meeting. <br /> <br />Regular Business - Public Hearing Items <br /> <br />'" Resolution No. 09, Series 2007, HWY 42 Design Standards and Guidelines - a <br />resolution recommending approval of an ordinance to amend Chapter 17 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code to add a new Chapter 17.14 titled Mixed Use Zone district <br />and Mixed Use Design Standards and Guidelines (Highway 42 Project Area). <br />(continued from April 26, 2007, and May 24,2007 to June 28,2007.) <br />. Case Managers: Paul Wood, Planning Director and Sean McCartney, Principal Planner <br /> <br />Conflict ofInterest and Disclosure: <br />Deborski stated his family owns property and operates a business in the HWY 42 area and he <br />recused himself for the remainder of the meeting. <br /> <br />Public Notice Verification: <br />Wood noted the agenda had been continued from previous meetings thus the only notice required <br />was a posting of the agenda on June 28, 2007. <br /> <br />Lipton noted a new item, a letter from Carol Deborski, should be entered into public record. <br />Dalton moved and Loo seconded the motion. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br />Wood requested to enter into record the entire meeting packet. McAvinew moved and Dalton <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />Wood continued with a review of the letter of support from the Downtown Business Association. <br />He also called the Commissioners attention the contents of the meeting packet and what the <br />Commission should accomplish during the meeting: <br />. A discussion / review of the changes to the documents since the last meeting. <br />. The memo addressing Chapter 17.12.070 regarding the Limiting of Certain Industrial <br />District <br />. The summary memo of Section 17.12.070 and 17.14.020 that does not apply to the <br />Industrial Property. <br /> <br />Commission and Staff Discussion: <br />Wood reviewed the Memo regarding "Limitation on the expansion of Industrial Uses - Proposed <br />Highway 42 Zoning and Design Standards". <br /> <br />Lipton discussed the four (4) possible expansions: <br />1) No expansion permitted. <br />2) 25% expansion. <br />3) Expansion greater than 25% would require an SRU, PUD and Re-zoning. <br />4) Allow expansion at any level but require SRU <br /> <br />Dalton inquired as to where the Industrial uses are located within the HWY 42 area. <br /> <br />Wood stated they are along HWY 42 between Griffith Street and South Street. <br /> <br />Sheets asked how an industrial use would expand if they came before the Commission today. <br /> <br />Wood stated for expansion to occur the use has to be an allowable use. <br />
