<br />Louisville City Council Meeting <br />January 18, 2005 <br />Page 4 of 11 <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved to appoint Melanie Muckle and Dan Trudeau <br />to 3-year terms to the Historic Preservation Commission, seconded by Council member <br />Keany. All in favor. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Keany moved to appoint Ted Kowalski and David <br />Waldman, to 3-year terms, with Waldman serving as the Alternate Member, to the Open <br />Space Advisory Board, seconded by Council member Marsella. All in favor. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to appoint Michael Reis to a 5-year term to the <br />Revitalization Commission, seconded by Council member Brown. All in favor. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk thanked all the applicants and the Council for their dedication in the long <br />interview process. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1461, SERIES 2005 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE <br />VACATION OF A 3,318 SQUARE FOOT PORTION OF THE CONTINENTAL <br />VIEW DRIVE RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED IN LOT 1, BOULDER VIEW SUB <br />DIVISION, IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE - 2nd reading - public hearing <br />(advertised Daily Camera 1/8/05) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1461, Series 2005. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Paul Wood explained the property owners, Mr. & Mrs. Waldman, are <br />requesting authorization to vacate a portion of the Continental View Drive right-of-way <br />in conjunction with an associated request for a subdivision replat and final PUD <br />development plan for Lot 1 Boulder View subdivision. Wood presented a diagram of the <br />right-of-way in question, and explained that prior to the 1985 subdivision annexation; <br />there was a conveyance of a 5,645 SF area, which was intended for access to the <br />subdivision. He explained 3,318 SF of the right-of-way is not needed for access purposes. <br />Staff recommends the vacation of3,318 SF of the right-of-way. The applicant is <br />requesting a reimbursement of the application fee in the amount of $1 ,615 for the <br />vacation of the property. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and asked if anyone in the audience wished to <br />speak for or against Ordinance No. 1461. There were no comments. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council member VanPelt asked if the City is required to vacate the property. Planning <br />Director Wood stated that it is not required, but merely housekeeping matter to clear the <br />encumbrance of that portion of the right-of-way. <br /> <br />4 <br />
