<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 21, 2005 <br />Page 9 of 11 <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved for Council approval of the <br />amendment to Professional Service Contract with Clarion Associates for <br />Highway 42 Revitalization Area - Mixed Use Zoning and Design Guidelines. <br />Council member Brown seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. The <br />motion carried by a vote of 6-1. Absent: Council member Clabots. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24, SERIES 2005, A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE 2005 BUDGET <br />- public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 6/15/06) <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Finance Director Patty Leslie explained that Resolution 24, Series 2005, <br />authorizes an amendment to the 2005 budget, to transfer revenues and <br />appropriations of $450,000 from the Capital Projects Fund to the Library Capital <br />Construction Fund and an increase to the Conservation Trust - Land Acquisition <br />Fund of $71 ,840. <br /> <br />The total appropriations for the City have not increased, only the appropriations <br />between the funds will change. The $450,000 is funded in part by the % of the <br />proceeds from the lodging tax for 2003, 2004 and 2005. Any remaining amount <br />not funded by lodging tax will be funded by excess construction funds. The <br />increase of $71 ,840 in the Conservation Trust - Land Acquisition Fund provides <br />for a 2005 completion of the Davidson Mesa Trail. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested public comment. There <br />were no comments. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk explained the Finance Committee discussed this matter at their <br />meeting and is comfortable with the appropriation. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons explained the lodging taxes will be used for technology in <br />the new Public Library. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved for Council approval of Resolution <br />No. 24, Series 2005 - A Resolution Approving Supplemental Appropriations for <br />the 2005 Budget. Council member Brown seconded the motion. Roll Call vote <br />was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. Absent: Council member <br />Clabots. <br />
