<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 19, 2005 <br />Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1473, SERIES 2005 - AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, ESTABLISHING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM <br />ON THE PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS FOR APPROVAL OF <br />REZONINGS, SPECIAL REVIEW USES, AND PCZD GENERAL <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN AMENDMENTS FOR NEW RESIDENTIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY, AND CREATING CERTAIN <br />EXEMPTIONS FROM THE MORATORIUM _1st reading - set public hearing <br />8/2/05 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No.1473, Series 2005. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Wood explained the ordinance, if authorized, would extend the <br />temporary moratorium from August 2, 2005 to August 16, 2005. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt suggested extending the temporary moratorium to <br />September 7, 2005. There was Council consensus. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Van Pelt moved that Council send out Ordinance No. <br />1473, Series 2005, and set a public hearing for August 2,2005. Council member <br />Clabots seconded the motion. All in favor. Absent: Council members Keany, <br />Marsella and Brown. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1474, SERIES 2005 -AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING THE <br />CITY'S 3.375 PERCENT USE TAX, CURRENTLY COLLECTED UPON <br />NONRESIDENTIAL BUILDING MATERIALS AND VEHICLES, UPON THE <br />USE, STORAGE, DISTRIBUTION OR CONSUMPTION OF ANY ARTICLE OF <br />TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY OR TAXABLE SERVICES PURCHASED, <br />LEASED OR RENTED FROM SOURCES INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE CITY, ON <br />WHICH THE CITY SALES TAX HAS NOT BEEN PAID; PRESCRIBING <br />ADDITIONAL EXEMPTIONS FROM THE USE TAX; ADOPTING OTHER <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE <br />ADMINISTRATION AND COLLECTION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />THE SUBMISSION OF THE ORDINANCE TO A VOTE OF THE REGISTERED <br />ELECTORS AT THE REGULAR MUUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD <br />NOVEMBER 1, 2005 - 1 st reading - set public hearing 8/2/05 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1474, Series 2005. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />
