<br />judged against other larger projects such as street maintenance and repair and <br />other facility repair. <br />B. 2008 Budget: Non-Capital Requests - Muth reported that she has put in the <br />following requests through the general fund budget process: <br />1. $5,000 for non-capital projects <br />2. $1,000 for general maintenance. <br />3. $1,500 for supplies. <br />C. Fencing - Muth reported that the cemetery may not be fenced this year, so the <br />Commission might want to pursue bids for the museum campus <br />D. Boulder County will present its historic structure assessment results of the <br />Harney-Lastoka property at the August 15 Historic Preservation Commission <br />meeting. <br />E. Open government training is required every two years. Sally Burlingame, Dan <br />Mellish, Virginia Caranci and Aline Steinbaugh will need to attend this year. <br />F. Don Ross proposed that we contact the Boulder Valley School District to obtain <br />records of the former Louisville School District. Muth will look into this. <br />G. Muth has contacted two members of the Commission and two members of the <br />Historic Preservation Commission to meet to discuss what they would like to <br />see for a Mine Marker program. Members have not yet met. <br /> <br />VIII. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Deeds of Gifts <br />1. Nadine Caranci: Information and copies of photos relating to the Harris, <br />Zarini, and other families <br />2. Catherine (Kay) LaSalle: Jacoe Baseball Team picture and postcard with a <br />picture of her father, William "Buck" LaSalle <br />The donations were accepted by the Commission. <br />B. Consideration of Other Donations - A coal oil/kerosene three burner <br />freestanding stove from early 1900's would fit in the Summer Kitchen as part of <br />a display on canning. Commission members indicated that they would like to <br />accept this donation at the next meeting. <br />C. Correspondence - Thank you note from Nadine Caranci for a get-well fruit <br />basket <br />D. Visitors: June 66, Year-to-Date 753 <br />E. Activity Report <br />1. The new issue of The Louisville Historian is scheduled to be mailed next <br />week. <br />2. The placement of a pump and faucet in the yard, for display purposes only, <br />is under consideration. These items may need to be cut to fit. More <br />information will be shared at a future Commission meeting. <br />IX. Committee Reports <br />A. Facility Management <br />1. Information sign for the museum campus would show pictures of each <br />building and their uses. It would provide information when the museum is <br />not open. <br />a. Donations could be sought to pay for sign <br />b. Muth recommended that we place the same type of sign that is used on <br />Louisville trailheads. It would be more expensive but look better and last <br />longer. <br />c. Muth will check on sign size allowance. <br />2. Commission members remarked on the pleasing state of the flowerbeds. <br />
